How I shoot my overhead content

How I shoot my overhead content

As an aspiring content creator, I'm always on the lookout for easier ways to shoot video and photography content for both my busineses. Overhead shots have become increasingly popular in recent years, and it's easy to see why - they offer a unique perspective that can't be achieved with traditional angles. I've been experimenting with overhead content for some time now, and I'm excited to share what I use with you. It's one of my most asked questions? What do you use to shoot your content that's overhead.

First things first - let's talk about equipment. I use an overhead tripod mount that clips onto my dining room table. This allows me to position my camera directly above the subject, which is crucial for achieving those stunning top-down shots. The mount is adjustable and can accommodate various camera sizes, making it a versatile tool for any content creator. You can purchase one like mine for a pretty good price from amazon. I have a few overhead stands and tripods and this would have to be my favourite for overhead content at home. It's actually beyond ridiculous how many stands and tripods I have now!

Once I have my mount set up, it's time to get creative!  I use for recording unboxing products, making food and recipes, product shots.

I recently just purchased another item from amazon, as I wanted something more portable and compact and this is absolutely perfect. You can take it with you whenever you are staying out of town and you want to create content.  I used this item to create this reel here. The best thing about it is that it reduces down to a small box so perfect if you have limited space in your luggage! I can already tell I'll be using this one a lot and will likely take it on holiday with me next month.

Let me know if the comments, if there are other things that you would like me to share when it comes to creating content, business or general wellbeing or lifestyle advice!
