About
A little bit about me.....

Hello, I’m Jamie Lee. I'm a certified nutritionist specializing in sports and clinical nutrition, a medical sonographer, and a proud mother.
My enthusiasm for health and wellness has always driven me to strive for the best version of myself. In addition to my role as a nutritionist, I founded the activewear brand ryzn collection and have dedicated over 15 years to a career in Radiology.
My journey into Medical Imaging began at the age of 15 when I witnessed my grandfather's decline due to cancer, which ultimately took his life. This pivotal experience ignited my passion for health and well-being. Just days before his passing, I made a promise to him to pursue this path. I wanted to assist others facing similar challenges, like my grandfather. It was also during this time that I committed to living a healthy lifestyle.
Throughout my time in Radiology, I have been fortunate enough to travel and work around the globe. However, my desire to deepen my understanding of nutrition—an area I've always loved—led me to enroll at the Holistic Performance Institute in 2021. During my studies, my one-year-old daughter fell seriously ill with Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome, revealing her deficiency in several key micronutrients despite her healthy diet. After various tests and consultations with pediatricians and dieticians, we learned she likely has Celiac Disease. Consequently, our family adopted a gluten-free lifestyle, which has significantly improved her well-being, bringing relief to all of us.
After completing the HPN1 sports nutrition course in 2021, I felt compelled to advance my education further by pursuing HPN2. My aim was to become a registered clinical nutritionist, capable of addressing diseases and disorders if necessary. The immediate health issues faced by my daughter greatly influenced this decision, especially seeing her health improve through dietary changes. I also aspire to equip individuals and the ryzn collection community with tools for positive transformations in their lives, emphasizing not just physical activity and stylish activewear but also nutrition and lifestyle enhancements.
As a holistic nutritionist, I have the opportunity to connect with people on a more personal level, making a meaningful impact on individual health as well as on community well-being, particularly in Māori health and family dynamics. I understand the benefits of nourishing oneself with the right foods and approaching health from a holistic perspective, focusing on the principles of Te Whare Tapa Wha.
I can provide tailored nutrition and lifestyle guidance to enhance your overall health and happiness, boost sports performance, optimize body composition, or offer specialized nutrition support for specific conditions such as Coeliac Disease, diabetes, gestational diabetes, fatigue, or hormonal imbalances. Together, we can empower you to take control of your health so you can become the best version of yourself for you and your loved ones.
